What Is Chronicles of the Astro-Corps?

Chronicles of the Astro-Corps is a Sci-Fi comedy saga that I have been writing for a number of years. You may have seen an early, early draft of the first Act available on this page in the past, however, due to its impending release, I have decided to reserve this page for updates on story progress and marketing purposes, when the time comes. Here's the description of the story:

In this love letter to Sci-Fi, Fantasy, video game, and Young Adult cliches, four friends embark on a thrill-seeking adventure through outer space to combat the threat of massive, star-eating dragons.

In the distant future, countless sects of humanity have split off and colonized different worlds throughout the Milky Way Galaxy, each world living mostly cut-off from the rest. On the planet Xarbon, four friends—Jeva, Qaz, Carlyle, and Kage—find themselves wrapped up in an epic adventure when their world is suddenly attacked by massive creatures consuming the cores of stars. As they learn more about these mysterious creatures and travel through the galaxy, they each must come to drastic realizations about their own intentions, motivations, and love for pancakes.

Chronicles of the Astro-Corps - Act One is the first entry in the larger story of these characters and the fragile society they live in.

Status Update - 10/22/19:

The story is coming along nicely, still. The fourth draft of Act 1 is currently being extensively worked on, with a ton of new additions to the story to expand on the character development, humor, and overall quality of the storytelling being made. Draft 4 will likely be the longest work period of the remaining drafts. Upon its completion, it will be followed by Draft 5 for expanding upon detailed descriptors and poetic language. This will be followed by Draft 6, featuring the final personal touches and edits. Draft 6 will then be sent for some edits to get feedback and proper work done for Draft 7, which will be the completed draft. Once Draft 7 is complete, it will only be a short time until the story is available for purchase (hopefully). At the moment, Draft 4 is coming along nicely, however, there is still much work to be done to complete this stage. I will post updates here only once a draft is completed in order to keep myself from posting too often or overpromising and to stop stressing myself out with personal deadlines, as I still have other projects as well as college classes to focus on for the time being.
